A cake I created for a styled shoot, let's talk about inspiration... I had in my mind that I wanted to create a beautiful berry toned ruffle cake with hints of gold and surrounded by handmade wafer paper flowers but as she was coming together I couldn't shake that it was just reminding me so much of @marinamachadocakes gorgeous hurricane ruffle cake so I reached out to her to see if she wouldn't mind me using the cake and she graciously said yes! Inspiration comes in so many ways and @marinamachadocakes has influenced me and my cake journey in so many ways, along with a great number of other cake artists, in that she inspires me to push boundaries, to think of cake and art as one, to be creative with different mediums and scale with cakes (I am no way saying that I am anywhere near her level of cake making) and not only that she is a super supportive and uplifting person to others in the industry! 🫶🏼

I love making cake and I love making beautiful cakes! I have been at it now for around 6 years and I truely feel blessed to be able to work in a job that brings me so much joy. I have always been drawn to the creative and find the methodical side of baking so therapeutic it's the perfect career!
